Why can’t I add my myki to Apple Wallet?

Bad news, you can’t because myki is not available digitally for Apple Wallets.
Unfortunately Myki cards cannot be added to Apple Wallet. The Victorian government has not integrated myki for IOS users but myki can be added to Google Wallet on android phones.

You can load money onto your myki card with Apple Pay on the PTV app. Learn how to do that here. You will still need a physical myki card. Unfortunately, this is the only option available to Apple users, as they are not able to use a myki card virtually via Apple Wallet.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) have not stated that myki will be available via Apple Wallet so it is unlikely. This is unfortunate for Apple users.
Android users can add Myki to their Google Wallet
Luckily for android users, myki cards can be used as a digital version by adding them to Google Wallet. You can buy the mobile myki card using Google Wallet and will not need a physical card. This version of myki is called mobile myki and works by allowing users to tap on and off public transport using NFC while paying with Google Pay.
